Talaat Zain

Talaat Zein (February 21, 1955 – August 14, 2011) was an Egyptian actor and singer.

He was born in 1955 in Alexandria, to a father and a mother who loved singing. He was brought up with a love of music, especially Western music. He used to attend concerts specialized in presenting Western songs such as (Black Coats) and (Betty Shah). ) which was formed by engineering students at the University of Alexandria - then he joined the band (Betti Shah) after some of its members apologized and sang with it for the first time the song of international singer James Brown - and when the band returned to Cairo after the end of the summer season, he sang with it at the Cairo Sheraton Hotel, which was contracted only with Foreign bands - Then he withdrew from it in 1982 and joined the (Transit Pack) band, which included Ayman Abu Seif, Amr Khairy, Ashraf Mahrous and Hany Farid. – In 1985, Talaat Zein sang in a restaurant and a nightclub called (Piano.. Piano) and he was the main star of it – and at this time Western singing groups lost their popularity and were replaced by the drum machine and the keyboard in performances and recordings.

Talaat Zain died on August 14, 2011 (corresponding to the 14th of Ramadan), after severe suffering with total cancer of the respiratory system and as a result of a severe heart attack, where he had performed lung surgery, after doctors discovered an “abscess” in the lung, which necessitated his By cleaning and excision of the damaged part.

His works

He translated a famous Spanish song in the world as a dance called (Macarina), and he sang it after the poet Adel Omar Arabized it, and it achieved great success.

The musician Omar Khairat chose him to sing with the singer / Angham the operetta (100 Years of Cinema) at the opening ceremony of the Cairo Film Festival.

He produced an album called (Tic Tac) and sang a song called (Fadel A) in it.

He participated in acting in some films, including (Anyab( film)), (La7m Rekhis), (Jamal Abdel Nasser), (Africano), (Ahlam Omrena), (The Dealer (film)).

He also participated in (Al-Hawi (series)) and the play (Shaboura).
