His full name is Amer Muhammad Badie Munib, and the artist's name is (Amer Munib), born in the Dokki neighborhood on September 2, 1963 (Virgo).
After his birth, he and his older brother, Jamal, and his two younger sisters, Amira and Amina, moved to live in the villa of their grandmother, the great artist, Mary Munib. Although he was very naughty, stubborn, and curious in his childhood, his grandmother loved him very much.
Although she was very firm with him, and despite this, she could not bear his anger, so she always invited him to receive food with her, and he was very attached to her, so he sought to go with her to the Al-Rayhani theater, which witnessed her greatness and excellence.
He was six years old, and he stood behind the scenes, watching the artists, their movements, and the audience's reaction, and the matter was not devoid of his excessive misery and tampering with the equipment and everything he saw in front of him, which made her refuse to take him with her again.
Amer was seven years old when his grandmother died, and the members of the Al-Rihani troupe came to present the duty of supplication in the deceased of the art, and some of her colleagues continued to contact the family and visit her, and Amer asked them. Backstage, he watched the movements of the actors and wished to become famous like them, and the masses clapped for him, but from the beginning, he loved singing, so he used to take an independent place with him in his grandmother’s villa and sing in it, imitating Abdel Halim Hafez, who was deeply in love with him and memorized all his songs.
In addition to listening to great singers such as Umm Kulthum, Farid, Muhammad Abd al-Wahhab and Muhammad Fawzi, and at the same time he excelled academically, which was what prompted his father not to deprive him of practicing his hobby during the school holidays and free time, and after obtaining a Bachelor of Commerce in 1986 with a very good grade, his father asked him about the gift that He wanted it, so he was surprised by him saying without thinking (I want a oud instrument). Indeed, his father brought him what he asked for, and the oud remained accompanying him at home, and at the same time he completed his scientific career.
And he became a lecturer at the university, and Amer received a violent shock with the sudden departure of his father at this time, and after getting out of the state of grief that controlled him, he received a contract to travel to Australia to obtain a doctorate and work in one of the universities there. Indeed, he prepared travel papers and prepared bags, and this was in the holy month of Ramadan in 1987 AD. A strange thing happened a few days before travel, which led to a complete modification of its path, so what is this thing?!!.
This thing is that he agreed with a group of his friends to stay up late and receive the suhoor meal together in a hotel to see them off before traveling. It happened that a group of great artists were present at this evening. In the same place they are Mahmoud Yassin and his wife, the famous artist, Nour al-Sharif and his wife at this time, the artist Bossi, in addition to Farouk al-Fishawy. And the musician Helmy Bakr and others, and Amer Mounib's colleagues urged him to sing.
So he sang the song (Al-Fan) by the musician of the generations, Mohamed Abdel-Wahhab, and was surprised by the audience’s admiration for his voice, led by the aforementioned artists, and they invited him to sit with them. Bakr was still famous for his boldness and his lack of courtesy to anyone, so Amer felt that he would be asked to leave this field.
However, the surprise was that Helmy Bakr strongly encouraged him and demanded that he should stay in Egypt and not travel because there was a great future waiting for him, provided that he burdened his talent with study. Indeed, after returning home, he tore up the travel ticket, and on the next day he fully underwent the lessons of Professor Atef Abdel Hamid (the famous music teacher at the Faculty of Music). Music education) Amer learned from his hands the musical scales and solfege lessons, and he brought another specialized professor who learned from him the principles and rules of playing the oud instrument. Then he decided to learn the arts of playing the piano instrument, and after passing these lessons, he found in himself the ability to enter the field of work and formed a band A small piece of music he moved to sing in major hotels, and he had no songs of his own, while he was presenting the most famous and beautiful songs of the Nightingale, Abdel Halim Hafez.
Indeed, he began preparing his first album at his own expense, and because he did not have the money to help him implement the album, he sold his own car and even borrowed from his friends in order to be able to pay the music fees and book the studio. Despite their high wages, such as Medhat Al-Adl, Salah Al-Sharnoubi, Riyad Al-Hamshari and others, he borrowed again in order to print and distribute the album. Indeed, the album was released under the title (Lamhi) in 1990.
Despite the limited publicity that accompanied it, the album achieved relative success that prompted him to continue on the scene, as he wrote in the album his artistic birth certificate, so production companies’ performances began to follow him after he had a relative fan base from the youth audience, so his successful albums continued after this, as he has since issued about ten The albums were the most successful of all albums (Days and Nights) and (Faker), as their distribution rates ranged between 300 and 400 thousand copies. While the distributions of the rest of the other albums ranged between 100 and 150 thousand copies, as happened with his last three albums (Love Omri) season 2003 and (Hayesh). ) in the 2004 season and (Every second in my life) the 2005 season, and perhaps one of his most successful songs that the masses, especially the youth, became attached to, whether from these albums and others. Where is the love, the closeness of my beloved, the thought, the longing, the nostalgia, for you alone, the nights, the nights, the days, the salvation, and from my eyes, my heart, and others.
And it was natural that the attention of film producers and directors turned to him, just as it happened with all successful singers, so he was assigned the title role in the movie (The Magic of Eyes) with Hala Shiha and Nelly Karim. His second film came (Kimowa and Intimoa) with Mai Ezz El-Din and Waheed Seif, written by Mohamed El Beyah, directed by Enas El-Najjar, and it was screened in the 2004 season race, specifically in March. With Dalia El-Behairy and Hassan Hosni, directed by Fakhr El-Din Naguida. The last two films did not achieve a significant public success. Amer Mounib justified the failure of the two experiences with the bad timing in which they were presented. In 2008, Amer Mounib released the album “My Fortune from the Sky”, which brings down special flavors and a sensitive period in the history of the king of romance, especially After his separation from Rotana for technical reasons, which was well received by many critics and stunned his fans.
He passed away on Saturday morning corresponding to the first of Muharram 1433 corresponding to 11/26/2011.
